Artist in residence

It’s called a book festival – but the truth is that it’s much, much more than that.

One example is that for years we have been collaborating with Spring Fling, the region’s annual open studios event, to host an artist in residence.

For 2019 it’s Emily Tough, who is involved in a delightful project to create puppets inspired by the people and the stories she encounters during the 10 days of the event.

They are all made using recycled materials and inhabit their own miniature world.
