Event Crew

We are looking for two individuals to join our vibrant team, to support the set up, delivery and take-down of the Wigtown Book Festival 2022. The festival will be returning to full capacity this year with an exciting line up of authors and events. This position is ideal for anyone keen to experience the buzzing festival atmosphere and to catch a glimpse behind the scenes of large-scale event planning.

The successful candidates will support the set up of Festival venues prior to and during Wigtown Book Festival, and clear up following the final events on Sunday 2 and Monday 3 October. This will include laying carpet, building stage backdrops, moving event furniture, erecting signage, managing recycling, and event take down/clear up.

These temporary posts are for a period of 8 days (64 hours) each between Wednesday 21 September and Monday 3 October, requiring flexibility during this period. The successful candidates will work closely day to day with the Event Coordinator and be responsible to the Operational Director. The place of work is Wigtown Festival Company Offices, 11 North Main Street, Wigtown, DG8 9HN.
