Wigtown became Scotland’s National Book Town in 1998 and today the pretty streets are lined with twelve bookshops or book-related businesses each with their own story to tell. This walking trail takes you through each bookseller's individual journey and how they found Wigtown, or how Wigtown found them!

The Bookseller’s Trail was originally created in 2026 by Wigtown Festival Company with support from Best of British funding.
